I CARESS YOU WITH WHITE WINGS

FROM THE LOUVRE TO MILEŠEVA MONASTERY

I would gladly give up all the Mona Lisas of this world
for a single White Angel,
give up a gaze of utmost mystery
for the flutter of his wing
and a piece of the bluish goodness.

A long road lies ahead of you, yet, Gioconda,
leading from the Louvre to Mileševa Monastery,
from the Capital of Art
to the Heavenly Metropolis.

You, before whom all kneel in esteem,
those who are awake and ones dreaming,
such beauty is yet unimaginable for you!

But never more would those
enchanting eyes of Yours,
containing all the secrets of Mankind,
ever be the same again,
if they were but to gaze on the Angel White
of Mileševa.

THE ICON LAMP

In the Universe
Alone I am.
Around me
all is darkness.

Where are the stars
and planets?
The galaxies
and the comets?

Behold, within me
hovering are they.
Behold, within me
shine they!
